A capacitor lets the tone control roll off the treble response, progressively warming the tone.
The higher the value, the more bass output from the tone control at its "zero" setting.

These guitar capacitors are known to be one of the highest quality caps for guitars and bass.

0.001uF (102) - usual Treble Bleed capacitor
0.015uF (153) - brightest tone
0.022uF (223) - typical for Humbuckers
0.033uF (333) - usual mod for tone experiments
0.047uF (473) - typical for Single-Coils
0.1uF (104)- Dark and muddy tones (usual Greasebucket capacitor)
0.0022uF (222) - used for other mods
0.0033uF (332) - used for other mods

NOTE:
0.022uF (223) is different from 0.0022uF (222).
0.033uF (333) is different from 0.0033uF (332).
