Switch Guide

Switches are typically used to change what pickup or pickup combination is triggered. Usually, switches used in a guitar has 3 or 5 positions. It can also be used to trigger a specific tone combination according to how it's wired. There are so many types of switches namely: lever/blade switch, toggle switch, mini-toggle switch, slide switch and more. Here are some guides that may help you on your wiring journey.

Lever Switches

Lever or blade switch is usually seen or found in Strats and Teles. They can have 3 to 5 positions, it is mainly used to select a pickup position or combination. Switches like this have different lugs assignment depending on the brand or what type of blade switch it is. Here are some of the Lever switches available in our shop:

Toggle Switches

Toggle switch is usually seen or found in SGs and Les Paul. They only have 3 positions, it is mainly used to select a pickup position or combination. Mini-Toggle switch are commonly used to access a specific feature on a guitar such as parallel/series switching, coil splitting and more. Slide Switches

Slide switch are usually seen or found on Jaguars or Jazzmasters. It is used to access a specific feature on a guitar such as parallel/series switching, coil splitting and more. Slide switches' lugs are almost the same with the mini-toggle but different kind of triggers. Switches like this have different lugs assignment depending on the what type of switch it is.
