Musical Journey & Growth

  • The Rck Awakening: Marco first picked up the guitar and bass around the age of 11 or 12. His initial interest in learning an instrument was sparked by hearing the legendary hard rock and heavy metal sounds of Guns N' Roses and Metallica during his youth.
  • Anchoring the Heavy Hitters: Today, he serves as the rhythmic foundation for some of the biggest names in the Philippine rock and metal scene. He actively plays with Razorback, Wolfgang, and Basti Artadi, while also providing session work for alternative rock artist Norby David.

  • The Heavy and The Virtuosic: His extensive list of influences spans from heavy metal titans like Pantera and Megadeth to progressive virtuosos like Dream Theater, Steve Vai, and Jaco Pastorius.
  • A Well-Rounded Approach: Marco credits this vast and diverse listening palette—which also includes jazz fusion and funk acts like Return to Forever and Incognito—for molding him into the highly well-rounded and detail-oriented musician he is today.

Marco has carved out an impressive career touring and recording with legendary Filipino rock bands. His major live performance highlights include playing with Razorback at Baybeats Singapore in 2011, embarking on the monumental Razorback and Wolfgang USA Tour in 2022, and hitting the road for the Wolfgang Philippine Tour in 2026. Beyond his extensive touring history, he considers every song and project he has successfully released with his bands to be a proud career milestone.
